 How to apply for Nigerian Air Force Direct short service commission DSSC 34/2025

Guidelines 

1. The applicant must be a graduate and postgraduate for training as Direct Short Service cadet 

2. The applicant must have this out listed document below 👇 

 A. Acknowledge form

 B. Parents/Guidance consent form

 C. Local government area artastation form to be signed by one of the following people listed below 👇 

    i. Substantive Local government area chairman/secretary 

    ii. Magistrate from applicants State of origin 

    iii. Police officer with the rank of assistant commission and above 

    iv. Military officer from the same state as the applicant and not below the rank of wing commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Army 

     The local government artastation form must be accompanied with passport photography and the photo copy of one of this document drives license or international passport or national ID card

Eligibility 

4. Applicants must be a Nigerian citizen by birth 

5. Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years, while the medical doctors must be between 25 and 40 years at the time of application 

6.The exercise is not for saving personal desiring branch commission. Therefore people above 32 years of age are not to apply 

7. Applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall but can be above for males and not less than 1.63 tall for females

8. Applicants must be medical, physically and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air medical standards 

9. A serving personal must be recommended by his or her commanding officer or commander and must serve at least for 10 years and must reach the rank of cpl. 

10. Applicants must be of any previous conviction on criminal grounds by the Court of law.

   Academy professional qualifications 

11. Applicants must have a minimum of second class upper division for holder of first degree and minimum of upper credit for HND. An Msc/MA as well as computer literacy will be added advantage. Likewise membership of relevant professionals is an added advantage. In addition applicants must have a credit in English, mathematics and 3 credit in other relatives subjects 

12. Applicants must possess NYSC discharge certificate or latter of exemption from NYSC at a time for applying for Direct Short Service cadet (DSSC) 

13. Medical applicants must possess certificate of registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.

Note 

14. Online registration is ending on 7 October 2025.

15. Zonal attitude test will hold on the Date Nigerian Air Force post in their recruitment portal. Only successful applicants will see.
