How to apply for the Nigerian police force 

 Nigerian police force (NPF) is a primarily law enforcement agency 

Since before colonization Nigeria have they own police from northern part of nation and southern part of the nation 

The North part of the nation which are predominant Muslim and Hausa/Fulani people have their own way of living their culture, believe, economics activities, and laws that govern them 

Hausa/Fulani people have Sarki(King) as their leader and some people around him like Waziri, Galadima, magajin gari, e.t.c those traditional title are the people around the king and they have king markers 

Since before colonialism Hausa/Fulani people have their own police which are refers to as Dogare. Dogare are people that are responsible for securing the Hausa/Fulani community 

The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is pleased to announce the commencement of recruitment of Fifty Thousand (50,000) Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force, as directed by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

CATEGORIES OF ENTERING 

✓ We have category A and category B

Categories are general duty recruit and Specialist recruit 

✓ General Duty are public police constable while specialist recruits are police medical assistants, drivers, mechanic, auto electrician, horse riders, Dogs handlers, Tailors, commutation (technician and operators), Band (musician equipment specialist), Information technology (IT operators/technician), Marin, Artisans and E.T.C.

ELIGIBILITY 

✓ Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth 

✓ Applicants must be of good character 

✓ Applicants must be free from financial embarrassment (free from any financial case)

✓ Applicants must be medical, physically, mentally, and psychologically fit(need heathy person) 

✓ Applicants must not be convicted of any crime offense(free from any crime) 

✓ Applicants must present 2 characters reference 

✓ Applicants which apply for general duty must be between the ages of 18 to 25 years old and not less than 18 years but above the 18 and not more than 25 years old while specialist applicants should not be more than 28 years old from 18 to 28 not less than 18 and more than 28 years old 

✓ General Duty applicants must not be less than 1.67m for male abut can be more than 1.67m while 1.64m for females and can be more than 1.64m in addition chest measurements should not be less than 86cm (36 inches ) for general Duty applicants but can be more than 86cm (36 inches)

QUALIFICATIONS 

✓ Any applicants that will apply with an Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) certificate must have at least 5 credits e.g Government, civic, agriculture, Islamic studies, Cristian studies, marketing, information, communication and technology (ICT), chemistry, biology, geography, physics, history, business, economics, e.t.c including mathematics and English in not more than 2 sitting exams.

✓ Specialists cadre applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, WAEC, NABTEB, or their equivalents with a minimum of four (4) credits (including English Language and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience and Trade Tests in relevant fields/areas is required.

Identification number (NIN) Is a must for applicants that are willing to apply for Nigerian police force 

✓. Candidates must have a functional email account and Phone number for all correspondence,

✓. Candidates must upload soft copies of PSLC, SSCE LGA/State of Origin, and Birth Certificates;

✓ In addition to the above, Specialists are to upload Trade Test Certificates and Drivers Licence for Drivers.

How to apply

Kindly obtain your National Identification Number (NIN) from National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

Input the NIN and other details in provided fields below to obtain your bio-data information. Such as name of the applicant (first name, surname and other name), sex of the applicant, Dare of birth of the applicant, state of origin of the applicant, local government origin of the applicant, address of the applicant, next of king, contact number and e.t.c .

Fill the Application

You will start with applying the application choice the category you want to apply for weather it is General Duty applicants or Specialist recruit applicants and fill all necessary things eg first name, surname and other name, sex of the applicant, Dare of birth of the applicant, state of origin of the applicant, local government origin of the applicant, address of the applicant, next of king, contact number and e.t.c .

Upload Document

Uploading documents Applicants must upload is necessary documents required e.g passport, first leaving certificate (primary school certificate), senior secondary certificate (SSCE), higher school certificate (College of education certificate, or diploma certificate) or any trade test certificate.

After applicants finished all the necessary fill applicants can submit this application but before submitting application, applicants is advised to check everything before submitting to avoid any errors that can lead to issues
